“Going solar had been on my mind for a few years, and after seeing my utility bills steadily climb, I finally decided it was time to make the switch. I wanted to lower my long-term energy costs and reduce my environmental impact. I got quotes from three different solar companies. Two were local and one was a large national provider. I ended up choosing a local installer (A&A City Electric) because they had great reviews, used top-tier equipment, and offered a strong warranty. Plus, I liked that their team handled everything in-house -- from permitting to installation to dealing with the utility.

The whole process was smoother than I expected. After signing the contract, they scheduled a site survey within a week. Permitting took about 3 weeks (longer than I'd like, but not their fault), and installation itself was completed in a single day. The crew was respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and walked me through how everything worked.

Permission to operate (PTO) from the utility came through about 10 days after inspection. From signing to going live, it took about 6 weeks total. The installer also set me up with a monitoring app, so I can see real-time production and usage.
